Questions First-Home Buyers Ask
How much deposit do I need?
It depends on your lender and the package. Many first-home buyers proceed with less than a full 20% deposit, and some new-build incentives can reduce what's required. We'll walk you through what applies to your situation before you commit to anything.
Do I need finance approval before choosing a package?
Not before you start exploring. Most buyers begin with a conditional pre-approval so they know their range, then we match packages to it. If your finance isn't sorted yet, that's a normal starting point and we can point you in the right direction.
Can I customise the home design?
In most cases, yes. Packages come with a standard inclusions list, and many builders allow upgrades or design changes at additional cost. We'll show you what's standard and what's an upgrade so there are no surprises.
Are there any other costs I should budget for?
Beyond the package price, budget for stamp duty and legal fees, fencing and landscaping, and any developer requirements. Our inclusions list above sets out what's covered and what typically isn't.
